Mont Saint Michel is a digital environment inspired by the famous site in Normandy. Materials: Tulle, silk.

Paris, Seine, Rive Gauche. The monsieur at a souvenir stall takes a block with the Eiffel Tower on the front page and lets it fall in what unfolds as a detachable postcard block, painting a dreamy France. This was the first time I’ve seen Mont-Saint-Michel. 24 years passed before I could see it in person. We arrived there in the late afternoon. The fields surrounding it are covered in mud but there are green spots where you can find grazing sheep. The hotel has a spectacular view of the Mount. It’s dark, a night at the beginning of October and I can see, from far, just the shape of it. I spend a sleepless night. I cannot take my eyes off the sunrise above the Mount. I’ve always liked having a good closed view of something. Like if I could hug something with my eyes.
Inside it’s super cute. It feels like a game level, where you have to explore the environment looking for something. You can find la Mère Poulard’s biscuits and different crêpes. There are art galleries, souvenir shops, and stairs that you can climb to enjoy a crazy view from the top.
